Topic: Faith, Hope and Love
Scripture Passage: I Cor. 13:13; I Thess 1:2, 3

Outline: 1。Your work produced by faith
信心所做的工夫。。。

2。Your labor prompted by love
爱心所受的劳苦。。。

3。Your endurance inspired by hope
盼望所存的忍耐。。。

Work – 工夫 所做 －programmes, projects, planning,etc
Example of learning martial art (工夫), you must have faith and trust in the master.

In English, produced means to prove your identity, to show your passport, to identify..

Labor – 劳苦 所受.. Skill, energy, time, money etc

prompted ..means to push, to stir, something that move you to take action, to give out

hope – 盼望 所存- patience, waiting, not giving up, pressing on, gazing/looking ahead.
inspired – means excited, being moved, motivated, encouraged, challenged.

Romans: 12：9－21
Here the verses speak about the beauty of Love.

Let us look at the verses carefully and pick up a few
Principle points:
v.9 sincere- 不可虚假，
v.10 be devoted- 要彼此亲热，推让，恭敬人
v.11 serving the Lord-常常服侍上帝

Paul in I Cor 13:13, he puts faith ..hope..then love,
And he stressed on Love.
But in I Thess 1:3, he puts faithlovethen hope.
He does this way because he is speaking about the 2nd coming of Jesus. We are all temporary on earth and our hope and reward is at the coming of Jesus.

Look carefully at I Thess 1:3:
your labor prompted by love。。。。then when he mentioned about hope, he said.
..and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 因盼望我们的耶稣基督所存的忍耐

This tells us that all that our faith puts in, our love gives out, is the hope of meeting the Lord Himself.
The Alive Master that we serve and wait for is – Our eternity with Him.

I am glad that the verse says your endurance inspired by hope this gives me eternal hope in eternity.

My dear brothers and sisters, how is your work with faith right now? Are you being so discouraged and depressed? You are not satisfied or happy with what you are doing?
And your love you find yourself hating more and cannot love yourself and otherswhy and what is the reason?
Hope is there any hope for you or you feel like giving up?

I want to challenge you to go home and think over this verse and Romans 9.
