My Journal
Isaiah 46: 3-5 Listen to me, (Nancy),you whom I have upheld since you were conceived, and have carried since your birth. Even to your old age and grey hairs, I AM HE, I AM He who will sustain you, I have made you and I will carry you. I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
The months of March and April saw me experiencing the above wonderful promises of God. I remember when I was setting off as a missionary with Operation Mobilization (OM) in 1981; the Lord challenged and promised me from Isaiah 43:10. It is the same as in Isaiah 46 I AM HE. Thats all. No further description or detailed introduction of Himself as the Lord. Just I AM HE. Praise the Lord.
The whole month of March is what I called home-recuperation time, because I was put under strict observation of medication. But this was the month (and till now), I experienced the abundance of Gods promises in Isaiah 46. Indeed, This I AM He carried me, I AM HE sustained me, and I AM HE rescued me. As I am no longer under any pay check, for every medical check-up and the number of tests taken, I just trusted in His word, claimed His promise, and uttered my prayer a day ahead, and put my faith in the I AM HE just went to see the doctor as scheduled.
My wonderful Lord indeed kept His promise that even in my old age and grey hairs which can mean no income, no companion or otherwise, I was not forsaken. How did He do it? Well, on a number of occasions where the medical fees cost more than a hundred, once I had an unexpected long time friend from Pakistan visited me. Unexpectedly she gave me a love gift of the exact amount for my next day appointment. Praise the Lord.
The most amazing miracles had to do with my mothers room where one of the casement window glasses fell. The repair cost is beyond what we can afford but we just prayed, and went ahead with the contractor. The very next day was due for the repair, my wonderful I AM HE provided through the mail an unexpected love gift with the exact amount and on the eve of the due date! What more can we say? Hallelujah! My mother was so joyful yet amazed at how the Lord whom she also loves dearly, answered us in such humorous way!
Hence for March and this April, I am daily immersing deeply in His promises, and like what King David said in Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, and to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord. All glory to the I AM HE. O Taste and See that The Lord is good. Praise the Lord.
p/s- Praise God, I am getting better each day with my cough, and sleeping well but have to complete the medication till end April, then another two medical tests.
Thanks for all who have prayed for me…
His humble servant,
Nancy Lim
