Entering 2010 with GOD.

On the first day of January, my morning devotion in I Samuel 7:12 Hitherto hath the Lord helped us. In Chinese (到如今耶和华都帮助我们)。This is a great challenge for me. The word in Chinese 到如今, it means up to this present moment, also means Forward as in English Hitherto. The wonderful Lord has had enabled us through year 2009, along with His faithfulness which He never failed us. The Lord has helped us through health, at home, abroad, on the land and on the sea; in honor, in dishonor, in perplexity, in joy, in trail, in triumph, in prayer, in temptation

Hence forth, it will be and is the same with 2010.
How wonderful to start off 2010 with this assurance of Gods Faithfulness.

My Senior Pastor preached on Let us enter into 2010 with God, and he told us that 10 is the number of Perfect Divine Order. He quoted a phrase from Dr. Ed Cole:

The way you leave is the way you will enter.

Therefore, I am leaving 2009 by counting the many blessings the Lord had bestowed upon me; the many precious lessons I have had learned in my walk with Him, and the many opportunities He had strengthened my faith through it all in 2009. I have learned that all disappointments were/are His-appointment. Praise the Lord!

Also from my devotion I am entering 2010 by focusing on developing the most desire gift.
1) Gift of an Attentive ears 2) Gift of an Affection heart 3) Gift of an Attractive smile
4) Gift of Appreciative word and 5) Gift of an Attitude of Praise Very Happy
By the grace of God, I challenge myself to be who the Lord desires me to be.

I have many countless blessings to name them one by one, but for now I want to start with all the special birthday gifts (I am a January child). My Lord has so miraculously and wonderfully provided what I needed: # a special wallet from Australia # a pair of good sunglasses # a pair of good shoes # a pair of ear-rings (very good and expensive), and some new clothes. It is the first time in almost more than 5 years that I had New Year clothes bought in January!

Our steps are ordered and directed by the Lord. Nothing comes to us without His permission. You may have gone through many discouragement and unforeseen changes in 2009, but, may I encourage you, the way you leave 2009 is the way you will enter 2010. Leave it with a positive attitude and a grateful heart, and carry it forward as you enter 2010. And enter 2010 with God because you are never alone as you walk along in this life on earth. Maybe develop a sense of awareness that God is always with you and there for you.
