My Journal

A daughter who obeys the Lord in faith; a mother who loves and a grandmother who prays.

My dear elderly mother went home to glory on Monday morning at 3a.m. Oct 22nd 2007. My sister and I were with her when she gave up her last breath. I cupped her face with both hands and said Thank you mummy for letting go and letting God take you home to glory. Thank you for obeying Him.

This picture was taken during her godsons wedding on September 15th 2007. She was looking up so cheerfully at her godson and his wife on the stage. Then on Sept 29th she fell very sick and had major stroke of 80% with two-third of her right brain affected.

The Lord honored my mother and blessed her with such a glorious wake and funeral. Her faith in the Lord had impacted many people who knew her, even at the market place to every of the common food sellers, uncles and aunties and the neighbors. She is known as the Thank Jesus lady. Praise God for my mother who lived a wonderful testimony for the Lord.

Moving on..
Everyone in the family missed her greatly especially for me. I miss her dearly. The last two months had been a very difficult time for me. I was not able to go to the market or even downstairs. .every step and everywhere I go, reminded me so much of my mother. My second younger sister accompanies me for a 3 days cruise which has enabled me to relax and to pick up myself and to move on.

With the grace of God and depending on His strength, the Lord has lifted me up both in the spirit and my inner person emotionally and mentally. I praise God for my mother and I am very grateful to her for her love and kindness. She had promised to me that she will not burden me with long illness; she will not burden me with any financial strain..my mother kept all her promises. I thank God for giving her to us the LIM Family, such a wonderful loving mother, and a gracious grandmother to all her 21 grandchildren. Praise the Lord.

Looking ahead and continuing the vision.
Within my heart I am always a missionary and I have always wanted to fulfill the vision of mission and prayer ministry. It is my desire to go out into the mission field once again and I wait upon the Lord for His direction.

My mother had also set an example of fasting and praying once a week. Most of the family members are taking up her challenge to pray and to fast, and to make this the main motto in our walk with the Lord both individually and collectively. My mother had been very faithful and consistent for 15 years!

For me, I am taking up the challenge to continue where my mother had left..to fast on every Wednesday. Praise the Lord.

Your prayer support..
I covet your continued prayer for me. I am slowly getting on without my mother, and coping with my grieve of missing her. Pray for clear direction from the Lord as to how and where He wants me to continue in my mission vision.

Pray also that I remain faithful to the Lord and able to faithfully and consistently follow my mothers example of prayer and fasting.

Lastly WISHING YOU AND FAMILY A BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND A FRUITFUL NEW YEAR IN 2008.

ALL GLORY AND HONOR TO THE LORD FOR HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US, AND FOR THE MANY BLESSINGS HE HAS BESTOWED FOR YEAR 2007, AND FOR THE GREAT CHALLENGES AHEAD OF US IN 2008.

PRAISE THE LORD!

Your humble servant in the Lord,

Sister Nancy
